Frequently Asked Questions

  • Essentially, it’s a ceramic bead, but really so much more!  Our dots have been cut cookie-cutter style from a larger piece of clay.  We use all sorts of techniques to create a story on the clay before we cut it into dots.  Our hope is that these dots encourage connection through their shared stories. 

  • You can choose a dot because you feel especially connected with a series’ story.  Or you might simply love the colors and textures from a series, you can find photos in the shop and each series’ story on the series page.

  • The number of dots per series is limited; you can see how many dots are in a series on its particular page.  Once the dots from a series are sold out, they are gone. If you wish, contact us so we can help you find another series that speaks to you.

  • Unfortunately, there is no way to request a particular dot.  We separate the dots in each series by their predominate color.  These are paired with a paracord color and available in the shop.  No two dots are the same.  Each dot you receive will have unique qualities, even if you order from the same series in the same color category.  It’s art :)

  • They are indeed adjustable.  However the small/medium may not fit over a medium/large hand, even at the bracelet’s widest point.  On a smaller hand/wrist, the medium/large bracelet could be adjusted to fit, but the knots might encroach on the dot in a way that just doesn’t look as good as a small/medium bracelet would look. Generally, measuring your hand so that fitting the bracelet over it is best practice.  Measure across your four knuckles (not your thumb): if you are over 3.5 inches, opt for the medium/large.

  • Let us help with that! Each bracelet is thoughtfully packaged and includes a zine with our project’s mission and photos.  The zine also has our website and Instagram handle so that your friends can follow along for more information.

  • When you purchase four (4) dot bracelets, we will gift you a fifth bracelet.  Purchase eight (8) and receive two (2) gift bracelets, and so on.  The gift bracelets are artist’s choice so you may receive a dot from future or past series or a unique paracord color.  Wear it, give it to a friend or share it with a stranger.  We are building connection one dot at a time.

  • Aww, thank you!  Spark a conversation with a stranger, call an old friend, show a kindness to someone.

  • We’ll drop a new series just about every month.  Please join our project to be the first to know the timing and get a sneak peak at upcoming series.

  • 1) We have more ceramics in the making; these pieces will reflect the same themes and stories as our series.  They will be connected to certain series and be offered through the website as well.

    2) In the near future, we will occasionally create a series that will be specifically connected to a non-profit; we will donate a portion of sales to the non-profit.

    3) We plan to offer in-person -IRL- connections in communities where there are lots of dots.

  • Damaged goods:  If your dot bracelet is damaged in shipping, we will reimburse you or ship a replacement dot bracelet; if your series color way is sold out, we will contact you to find a great substitute. Just l let us know within 7 days of receiving the bracelet and provide photographic proof of its damage. Contact me here to initiate this process.

    Change of mind return or exchange:  We hope you love your one-of-a-kind dot bracelet. If you are not satisfied, please contact me within 4 days of receiving your package, so we can make a plan to resolve the issue.  Refund/exchange is possible on the item, but not on the shipping.  Return/exchange is only possible to the person who made the original purchase.

  • At this point, we can only ship within the United States.  We plan ship to other countries by summer 2026.  It can take up to three days to process orders then we ship via USPS .  You will receive a tracking number once your bracelet(s) has shipped.  It takes about one week to receive your package.

    We offer a flat rate of $5 per order to ship dot bracelets.
