Below is a partial list of the words, terms and phrases the 47th president of the United States and his federal government have “disappeared” from official and unofficial memos, websites and documents. He found them too woke or without merit. Yet, I think they have a place in our conversation. . .they are a mirror of what is going on in our country and world. If they make you uncomfortable, find out more . . . they are words with people, science, culture, and history supporting them. They represent important issues and rights.
I used a photolithography technique to apply the words to a slab of clay that I had already painted with colorful streaks meant to look like highlighter marks. Then cut the clay cookie-cutter style to make the dots. Next, I hand-drilled the dots so that they can be strung on a paracord bracelet. Most dots have bits of words. Here are the words we should keep in our vocabulary and discuss often:
